Prayer
Sometimes solitude makes us forget that we have the most powerful resource with us: prayer.

This is a reflection on the peace of Jesus, and how it differs from the peace that the world gives. Please click on the link below.

Lord  Jesus,
In the midst of a storm,
You said, 'Peace be still.'
Bid our anxious fears subside,
Sustain your church in faith, hope and love,
Bring our nation through this tumult,
Grant wisdom to those with heavy responsibilities,
And healing and hope to those who are infected.
Amen

Call a friend and pray together:

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.

A prayer of St. Francis of Assisi:

"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.

Please commit to pray at 12 noon each day.

Pray for those who are sick or anxious and all involved in our Health Service.
Our prayers are a
sign of solidarity and hope in the light of Christ that can never be extinguished.
